Gary A. Bastie, President Let’s Get Rollin’ In this issue, we’re going to reveal some of our plans for 2010 and how you can make more $$$, service the needs of more people, and have a hand in doing something positive for our economy. Sounds like a big order to fill and it is. But thankfully, it’s do-able and we’re going to do it. Here’s how. If you sell things because you need the money but have no thought about your customers, then you’re going to often receive just what you’ve put into your customer’s welfare…nothing. On the other hand, if you consider the needs of your customers, things will change for you. If you begin to offer things which people need, then you’ll be able to benefit accordingly. Oh, there’s a lot more. I’m going to offer you some million dollar info in this article (literally) so keep reading right to the end. I’m not pulling anyone’s leg. What Do People Need? What do people need? Have you ever asked yourself that question and have you wanted the REAL answer? The REAL answer is often that they don’t need what you have, or they don’t need your price points, or they don’t need it the way you’re marketing it. Let me offer you a few examples. First, someone phoned me several years ago. They wanted an answer to a rhetorical question they’d thought of. That question was, “Why would I need to buy Life Insurance?” The person calling me was a customer and their thought was that they had no real need for any additional insurance so they thought they’d call me and have me answer their question for them. The answer they wanted was that they didn’t need any. My answer was this: You might need Life Insurance if you have a mortgage note to protect, any outstanding bills you wanted to have paid off if you died, that if you have business partners (and they did), that a Buy/Sell Agreement might be wise, that they probably needed a Key Man Insurance program set up for more than one employee, that they needed another vehicle for retirement which their family could use if they died, and I went on to describe about 10 programs which are associated with Life Insurance…right off the top of my head. The response to my brief answer? This person told me they’d never heard anyone tell them all of the various uses of Life Insurance. They said that I was opening up some real needs they failed to recognize they had. Herein lies the lesson. Lesson #1: People often don’t know they have a need until you expose it. Second, let’s use the example of Life Insurance. By the way, I’m not going to try and sell you any Life Insurance and I don’t want you to sell any for me (that is unless you want to). Most people fail to understand Life Insurance. My friend and co-worker Dan has mentioned that young guys won’t often buy Life Insurance. They don’t realize they need it. To them, it’s all about THEM so they put it out of their minds. Why, they’re going to live forever, always be young…yadda, yadda, yadda. Dan would simply ask, “Well, give me a list of your 10 best friends because that’s who your wife would have to marry or shack up with in the event you died”. That’s when it sinks in. They DO need Life Insurance after all. Lesson #2: The lesson here is that people often don’t recognize they need something because it hasn’t been explained to them in terms they can relate to. Third, let’s consider the example of a simple surgical procedure. Let’s say a person has a facial blemish. They may have been teased about it from the time they’re very young only to still have it when they reach adulthood. There are simple surgical procedures which could remove that blemish or diminish it but most of us don’t think about that. In fact, we haven’t considered that there could be a possible solution to a problem we’ve grown to live with as if it were a relative. Once people discover that there’s a simple way to surgically remove that facial blemish, it’s often just a matter of a few minutes “under the knife” and a short healing process. What plagued someone for so many years was gone in an instant, never to return. How often do we live with things which have simple solutions? Lesson #3: The lesson here is that you often need to discover solutions to your problems because they’re not going to jump out at you. OK, What Do We Have? There are a number of solutions that are either benefits, products or services. You know many of them and probably you market, promote, or offer a number right now. PPC also has some offerings. If took our offerings and yours and we apply the lessons above, it would look something like this: Step 1. Expose the need. Step 2. Explain the need. Step 3. Reveal the solution. Let’s take this into the realm of what PPC can offer to you for your customer base. To do that, notice how we present it in the next section. What’s This Issue Have? This issue of the “PPC Express” has several great things in it which can help your overall business. Often, it’s not good to try and sell what’s “hot” because people are tired of being bombarded daily with all the companies trying to sell them what’s “hot”. As a result, your email, presentation, phone call, etc. is disregarded. Why not show people what they NEED instead? If they don’t have it yet, they’ll probably want to get it from you. Selling is often so simple that we use too much hype, too many formalities, and too much of everything else when all we had to do was: 1.) expose a need people already have; 2.) explain something about that need and; 3.) then we get to drop the bomb, we have the solution! Here’s a brief listing of some of the offerings we think will really take off in 2010. I’ve simplified it so that you could cut and paste it in order to show someone. “Help, I’ve fallen and…” Emergency Medical Sentry Plus is the original “Help, I’ve fallen and can’t get up” invention of Bill Fane. We used to think that certain companies coined that slogan but we failed to realize that there are many copycats. As a result, three of us recently met with Bill and discussed his product with him. It has become quite popular due to the marketing efforts and advertising other companies have used in marketing their own version of his original product. We learned more about that from Bill as well. If we use the three lessons, we can better relate to Bill’s product. It’s a product but it’s also a service and it has benefits. Bill originally invented his product because he had a wheelchair-bound daughter. He realized that if she needed something and he wasn’t there, that he’d need to invent something that could help her contact him—regardless of where he was at the time. Hence, the Emergency Medical Sentry Plus came about in the mid 1980’s. So, Bill exposed a need and then he explained it. The “ Then we discovered something else. Bill explained that his base units could also monitor up to 18 functions including a home’s security system, a fire alarm or smoke detector, and other units which use the same “garage door opener” type of technology. By the way, Bill’s product costs less than any other product or service we’ve seen. It’s less than $20.00 per month and there are other great features we didn’t mention. This program is fully commissionable and I have the power of the pen so to speak. Who Needs EMS Plus? PPC currently has the only marketing agreement available with Bill Fane. We’ve partnered with another national company which provides medical products to the common person and this is right up their alley. That means we have the ability to award national contracts and anyone who has contacts with the following can benefit: Senior markets: Many who market to Seniors realize the perfect fit for this product. Senior homes, assisted living centers, etc.: Within these facilities is not only a need, we’ve come to realize that the pendants and bracelets become status symbols. Organizations for the disabled: Bill invented the device for his disabled daughter. State Governments: Where they’d rather put someone up in a $500 per month apartment/room and offer them the Diabetic Supplies Do you know how much Diabetic Supplies cost? I contacted a number of benefit providers who’d had a bad experience trying to promote them. I quickly learned why they’d had a negative experience with Diabetic Supplies. It was due to the fact that: 1.) they’d signed up to work with providers who charged more but could pay them more commissions on sales and; 2.) potential customers went to the website, saw the higher prices and never returned to those websites. Now maybe it’s just me but I agree with the shoppers who saw higher prices and never came back. That’s why we put together a program which literally DOES offer the lowest prices (under $20.00 per month for a box of 50 strips and it DOES have best free meter on the marketplace. Since everybody and his/her sister offers a free meter, why not offer the best eh? Oh yes, the Diabetic Supplies program is a commissionable program that tends to run on auto pilot once anyone sees that we actually have lower prices. DMPO Regulatory Problems? Many have had DMPO regulatory problems due to the nature of the rules and regulations which govern how you can market those types of benefits. Maybe you need to change the way you market. We did. We offer free access to anyone, not just members, on a website. Go to www.lowlowprices.us. There are no fees to access this website and it does have lower prices—not promised “discounts”. In addition, the website we have could be replicated for other organizations and commissions paid on those offerings which provide for them. Our plan is to advertise our association membership on that website as well. Anyone could use this site to advertise their memberships as well. That’s of course in addition to all the other great priced items on the site. Our plan is to continue to add programs to this website as they become available. We don’t plan to get into the DMPO business, just offer links so that consumers, any consumers, may access lower prices. Pet Protection Package People treat their pets better than they do themselves and often they treat their “children” better than they do their children…if you know what I mean. As a result, we’ve been adding pet oriented products. In the near future, we’ll have: 2. Pet Food, “regular”, gourmet, as well as organic 3. Pet Supplies (all types) 4. Pet Rx, yep, great pricing on pet prescriptions 5. Pet medical records Now, I know that some of you have discounts on Veterinarian visits. Those are wonderful programs which can save the pet owner big bucks. They are also a perfect match for what we’re offering. Check us out at www.lowlowprices.us. DME You might be asking, “What’s DME?” or you could be promoting DME. Did you know that Durable Medical Equipment also includes scooters and wheel chairs? Yep, it does. When I looked at the DME we used to have and our buddy Duane beat our prices. I had to look at his program. When he showed me that his prices were ½ price or even lower than that (as compared to ours), it was time to switch. Again, no one goes back to a website where the prices are higher. They fail to purchase and they never return. We could supply you with our program quite easily. To view, go to www.lowlowprices.us . Check out www.lowlowprices.us yet? Have you checked out our newest website yet? Well, actually it’s not our newest but it’s the one we’ve just begun to promote. It’s new to us. On that website you will discover that it’s pretty simple. All we do is offer and list lowest priced benefits, products, or services. Nothing’s “discounted” either. These are prices that anyone can access, whether they belong to an organization of not. Here’s what we thought we’d do. The basic idea was to promote this website to other organizations. Yes, we can private label it and we’d charge an annual hosting fee, customize it, advertise YOUR organization’s membership on it, etc. as well. Interested? The benefit is that lowest prices attracts people and they’d virally advertise YOUR membership program as well. Let us know what you think. Insect Patch? Another new product we have is the Insect Patch. It works on vitamin B technology so it’s completely natural but it works. We came across this great program due to some AIM Partners who referred it to us and vice versa. This patch has been used in This is a patch which may be worn on the skin. The vitamin interacts with your body’s chemistry so that in a couple of hours (you put it on a couple of hours BEFORE you’re going out) you won’t get any bites. It lasts up to 36 hr. and it works perfectly. Users reported zero bites whereas their buddies and comrades (no, it’s not Russian) experienced the usual number. Pretty neat huh? If you’d like to market something like this or if you know any distributor who’s willing to purchase these babies at about 65 cents each and then order lots of 10,000 or more, then contact us and we’ll set you up. Contracts are for 10% of sales orders and distributors may sell these patches for whatever the market will bear. We don’t have a website for them yet but we’ll put that info another newsletter if we decide to. TheWarehouseDepot.com This is a website which will be our newest addition. It’s going to be another home run. Pricing will be lower than retail and in come cases, lower than wholesale as well. People will have a reason so continue to shop here and we’re going to offer a sister website titled “the trialsshop.com) where free samples of various products will be sent to any consumer if they wish to pay only for shipping and handling. If they want more, then they’ll be directed to a website such as TheWarehouseDepot.com. It’s pretty simple so it ought to work because most of us like simple rather than complex and jumping through hoops. But guess what’s going to be featured? If you guessed the following, you’d be correct: Fuel Additives (only EPA Registered ones). This is a touchy subject with anyone who’s never worked with this technology or researched it. We have. There are products which didn’t work but not with this technology. The technology behind these fuel additives always works and it’s 40 yr. old, not something new. In fact, the EPA tests and registers those manufacturers who produce the legitimate product. Bet you didn’t know that. These are additives which come directly from the manufacturer and they’re designed to: 1.) remove harmful emissions (hydrocarbons) from a vehicle’s exhaust; 2.) clean fuel tanks and lines as they remove varnish and bio-fuel molds; 3.) provide an octane boost; 4.) work on either gas or diesel motors; 5.) add back a legal-to-sell lubricant to all diesel fuels because sulfur was removed from diesel fuel by the federal government (sulfur went from 500 ppm to just 15). By the way, we’ve been told that this product also enhances fuel economy. You try it and you let us know if it did that for you. Is it legal? Oh yes, the manufacturer has the coveted EPA registration number which means the product cannot harm the environment. In addition, the product itself falls under the additives section of the Magnuson-Moss Act which means it cannot harm a vehicle nor void a vehicle’s warranty. Can’t happen. Is the manufacturer reputable? Yes again. Just to show you we used a reputable, 25 yr. in the industry, manufacturer. It requires that it hold a multi million dollar insurance policy for these products yet it’s never been used. That was one of our requirements and it’s just a precaution which the manufacturer requires as well. Interestingly, this product technology is 40 yr. old yet it’s never damaged any vehicle’s motor. If you understand the technology and the chemical itself, these additives cannot fail. They work every time. As a side note: I’ve used the same product for the past 5 yr. and have always far exceeded my vehicle’s suggested mpg by approximately 20%. That includes all of my vehicles. I’m quite familiar with the technology myself. Household and Commercial Cleaners. These cleaners are used for either home or commercial. They could be divided up into use for home, auto, commercial, or boat and that would be appropriate. We’ve found that they work better than anything you can purchase from other providers because they were designed to be much more potent. Yes, we have tried them and yes, they performed better than anything else we tried. Some things you just need to try and we did. Included in this list would be cleaners, degreasers, leather and vinyl cleaners, and other polishes. Waterless Carwash. This product works in any temperature (even below freezing) and it doesn’t require shade even though it’s like a wax and leaves a nice sheen. It works but if you wanted to try it first, then you’d go to our free trials shop first. We discovered that truck drivers, limo drivers, and practically anyone who wishes to inexpensively wash a vehicle, would want to carry this product in their vehicle or keep it in their garage. We do. Need to stay awake? There is a product that will help give a person energy and keep them awake. It’s mostly made of natural ingredients (except for the capsule) and it would be perfect for truck drivers, students cramming for exams, and practically anyone who needs to function. A great side affect is that users have reported a nice deep sleep once it wears off…in a few weeks (just kidding). 100% Natural Weight Loss Product. This one’s green tea based and it works to suppress appetite. How simple can it be? Whereas most cost $50.00 or more for a month’s supply, this one’s only a small fraction of that. Dan’s Tip Of The Month Treat everyone as a friend and they will soon become one.
